Bull Reds on the Beach

A buddy of mine Jake recently got a new "blacked out" MAJEK tower boat.  We had to pile on and check it out!  The weather was gorgeous and a perfect  day for sight fishing beach reds.  After covering a ton of ground we found fish spread out in small schools.  Red fish "out front" are silver this time of year and look a lot like oversized bonefish in the water.  These open Gulf swimmers put up a great fight and make long runs when hooked.  Good Times.. I snapped a couple pics with the iPhone.

A Glades Skiff Kind of Day

Yesterday we took my friend Randy Horton's Glades Skiff (aka "The Surfboard") out to shoot some video and catch some tailing redfish.  The weather was perfect, slick calm no clouds.  Randy is the owner of Old Florida Outfitters. We rarely get to fish together and it's always a good time when we do. The tide was super low and was just right for his little skiff.  We found lots of tails and got some cool video.  We had a great time cuttin' up and catching a few fish.
A few iPhone pics.

"Slow Day"

We are having above average temps and great "tailing tides" right now. Yesterday David Mangum and I had the morning off.  We took the opportunity to do a little fishing and shooting.   The link below is a video recap of our morning.   Lots of waterfowl and tailing redfish. Best of all, no traffic. I love being on the water this time of year.

2012 Recap with Capt. Jason Stacy

A short "Grip and Grin" recap of the 2012 season. Overall the weather sucked throughout Tarpon season.. We fought through it.
I want to thank all of you for a great year!  I look forward to fishing with you in 2013!
