Jeff's New Rig

Capt. Jeff Ragland and I took his newly restored Sea Craft out of Destin and got some Stink on it.  What a cool boat!  Conditions were a  little bumpy and it handled the chop perfectly.

Siler

I have been doing a lot of False Albacore fishing lately. I really enjoy these fish and clients dig them too. My good friend Jason Siler met me after a charter a couple days ago, we had a blast catchin up and catchin a few fish.

Out With "The Old" In with "The New"

Got a new rig back in November, it's kind of bitter sweet.

The Bitter- Living and working on a boat for countless hours makes it feel like it's apart of you. I've spent many hours pushing clients around thinking about how I could trick this and tweak that and got her just the way I wanted... Then, almost simultaneously, two of my best friends decided to make a major "Lifestyle Change" and voila` I got a new Rig.  Jeff decided to stop pushing clients around with a push pole and sell his skiff and Andy decided to trade the mountains of Idaho for the salt marshes of the Everglades.

"The Old"

The Sweet- A new Hells Bay now sits in my drive way. I remember sitting down at Jeff's kitchen table helping him map out his work order for this boat and persuading him to go with Ice Blue hull. The center console works great for long runs over in Louisiana and Tarpon season. My old skiff went to a great home down in the Glades. Andy got an awesome rig and Jeff got a ridiculously cool Sea Craft bay boat.
