Got a shout-out on Moldy Chum today.  It is a Dec. entry into the slab of the month for Jay Decker's 37lb. redfish we got in La. on Dec. 2nd.

Fall 2012 is in the books. After a great season in the marsh, I am back in on the Emerald Coast gearing up for the Holidays.  Our last group went out with a Bang.   Don and Austin Watson joined me for the last 3 days. The weather was less than favorable with lots of rain and wind. This father and son duo stuck it out.  We were still able to sight fish and catch a pile of big fish on fly.  
When the smoke cleared we had caught several fish over 30lbs., breaking only one 10wt. in the process.  Don got big fish honors with a 38lb. beast. Austin caught a tagged fish for a added bonus. 

  

 

Look Out! Jay Decker's on Board!

My buddy Jay Decker with Patagonia came over to fish with me in Louisiana. We have talked about the marsh for several years and he finally got on the books.  We had an awesome time catching up and sight fishing Redfish.  They have escaped Jay and he was ready to check 'em off his species list.  He did it in a big way.  His first redfish was just over 30lbs.!  After several more, he finished the day with a 47inch, 37lb. beast.  Congrats Jay! Your ruined...
