Blood in the Water

Davids latest video report (Blood on the Water) features the Albie action we are experiencing right now.  It also features a good friend  Jason Siler, he included some footage he shot of my charter a few days ago. He did a awesome job on this one.

Summertime Mode

We are in full on Summertime Mode around here.  Fishing remains really good. Lots of options when I leave the ramp.  Depending on the the weather we could be casting to a host of different species.  False Albacore, Bull Reds, King Mackerel, Tarpon & Black tips are topping the list.

Chris back for more

Spent a couple days with Chris S. and Brian S. .
These guys know how to have fun!

Kelly and her mother Ann caught some great fish.

Dark Water & Clouds

We had record rainfall in early July followed by daily showers. This brought with it lots of heavy cloud cover and our Bays look like coffee.  The good news, we have lots of bait around and the fish are chewing..

David from Texas came back and enjoyed some great Albie fishing. The fish of the day got sharked right before I grabbed the leader.

June Recap

June is in the books.. It went by in a blur. I am at home today, weathered out, listening to thunder outside. It is hard to argue with a forecast of 100% chance of thunderstorms. We were able to fish all but 4 days and enjoy really good fishing last month. Tarpon, Redfish, Jacks, Triple Tail and Albies all made a strong showing. At the close of the month, I have a couple broken 12wts., a pile of chewed up and straightened out flys, and an empty Tarpon fly box. It is time to reload and gear up for the rest of July. Here are a couple highlights.
Have a Happy 4th of July Y'all!

I have been Rollin hard 7 days a week. Fishing has been strong throughout our area. I will be spending most of the upcoming month chasing Tarpon.

Variety

May is the month of variety here on the Panhandle.  Fishing is really good no matter where you go, on the flats or nearshore.  I wish I could bottle it up for a rainy day.. Yes, that is a Grouper on Fly!

Thats What You Get Skippy!

Nashville resident Michael caught some great weather and a bunch of hungry redfish on fly.  I traveled East and found several big schools of fish. As Michael cast to a group of reds a SkipJack sneaked the fly from them. On his first jump a large Blacktip shark had him for breakfast.  That's what you get Skippy...
