TS Debby

Tropical Storm Debby has moved on and left clear skys.  She also left a ton of rain that has mucked up the Tarpon fishin'.  Big Albie's have pushed in with the storm and the bite has been strong.  I was able to fish my cousin Rick and his son's Chad and Jay after my charter this afternoon.  We had great time catching up and Chad caught his first redfish.  It was a really cool bite on top and an awesome first redfish. Congrats Chad!

Tarpon Days and Dark Moon Nights

Tarpon fishing has really picked up this week.  The Bull Reds were chewing last week.  I even got in on the action.
Tropical Storm Debby has us "hunkered  down" for the next couple days. Can't wait to get back after them.

Mixed Bag

It's been a busy month at the office. We've been covering all the bases both inshore and offshore.  Weather has been a challenge for the past week.  I've had great clients that have been open to making the most of the conditions.

Jumbo Albies, AJ's and Jack's

I've been chasing Tarpon steady this month and we have enjoyed some excellent Nearshore Fly Rodding for the last couple days.  The Flying Fish have been thick and Albies have followed them in. Back to the Tarpon grounds in the morning...

Sharkin' "I think we got a Customer, you ready"

When the Tarpon fishin' gets slow or weathered out we have fun with other options. Spinner Sharks have become one of my favorite fish to pursue. They are athletic like a Tarpon jumping and spinning out of control. A real handful on the long rod.

Jason Spellings from Mississippi with a great big Spinner.

Steve from the ATL first Saltwater fly trip.

Frank caught us dinner...

Capt. Stacy's Flyin' Skiff Rodeo

The variety of fly fishing opportunities our area offers is astounding. A couple days last week I fished from 75ft. to 6 inches all in the same day.  Doing it all from the Hells Bay is quite a rodeo. This is not the norm, but when the stars aline it makes for a cool day.

Luckily enough I had the right conditions and adventurous clients allowing me to share a variety of fishing opportunities.
Good Times..

JACKS Attack!

I fished with Nick from Oregon today. We took a break from a slow day of Tarpon fishing to pick on some Jumbo Jacks..  These guys are pissed off critters and attack the fly with ferocity. After several of these guys nick was ready for a lunch break to rest his arms.
